The Kalyana Karnataka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KKCCI) on Sunday performed the Bhoomi Puja during the foundation stone laying ceremony for its proposed Diamond Jubilee Business Incubation and Training Centre at Daryapur-Kotnoor behind Zest Club near Aushadha Bhavan in Kalaburagi. The foundation stone was jointly laid by MLAs Allamprabhu Patil, MLA Basavaraj Mattimud and MLC Shashil G. Namoshi. Charalinga Mahaswamy of Gaddugi Mutt, Maktampur, blessed the project.
Welcoming the gathering, KKCCI president Sharanabasappa M. Pappa said that the centre, being established as part of the chamber’s diamond jubilee celebrations, will serve as a hub for entrepreneurship, start-up incubation, skill development, innovation and capacity building. He expressed the confidence that it will benefit young entrepreneurs, start-ups and micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) across Kalyana Karnataka region. Addressing a gathering, Mr. Allamprabhu Patil lauded the chamber for taking up a visionary initiative and assured it of continued support for its development activities.
Minister for Skill Development, Entrepreneurship and Livelihood Sharan Prakash Patil, who was scheduled to inaugurate the programme, could not attend owing to unavoidable circumstances. He, however, conveyed his greetings over telephone and congratulated the chamber for the initiative. KKCCI honorary secretary Shivraj V. Inginshetty, vice-president Kedar Raghoji, joint secretary Girish Anakal, treasurer Uttam Bajaj, Building and Estate Sub-Committee chairman Santosh Suresh Nandyal, Manjunath Jewargi and members of the chamber’s elected body were present.
The proposed centre is envisaged as a dedicated facility to promote entrepreneurship, business incubation, skill development and business support services, with the aim of contributing to the industrial and economic development of Kalyana Karnataka region.
