A youth identified as Akhilesh Yadav has alleged that he was brutally assaulted by seven to eight men in Lucknow's Bajrang Chauraha area under the Indira Nagar police station limits. According to the victim, the attackers surrounded him late at night, beat him with sticks, punches and kicks, and allegedly threatened to kill him.
Police reached the spot after receiving information, detained one accused, and launched raids to trace the remaining suspects. An investigation is underway.
