Iran has launched retaliatory drone strikes on United States military infrastructure in Kuwait as part of Operation Lightning. The attacks targeted the Al Adi camp ammunition depot and radar systems at the Ali Al Salem airbase, including a Patriot radar. This military action comes in response to eight straight days of United States airstrikes targeting military sites in Iran, particularly in the southern region near the Strait of Hormuz.
The United States has also maintained a naval blockade in the Strait of Hormuz to secure the shipping route. The conflict has escalated across the West Asia region, with military installations in Kuwait being targeted as tensions continue to rise.
