(Photo/Reuters) Hours after Tehran suspended its commitments under the interim deal with the US, Iran’s Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei accused Washington of repeatedly violating the ceasefire Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), referring to it as the “Great Satan." In a post on X on Saturday, Khamenei said that repeated US breaches of a MoU signed by the presidents of Iran and the US had shown that President Donald Trump’s signature was “utterly worthless and devoid of credibility." Follow for live updates ‘Great Satan Revealed Its True, Unmasked Face’ In another strongly worded post, the Iranian leader accused Washington of violating its commitments and carrying out a “dark episode of criminality" amid the escalating conflict. “Today, the Great Satan has once again revealed its true, unmasked face, so that this dark episode of criminality and broken promises serves as yet another indisputable testament to the US’s dishonesty, irrationality, unreliability, and malicious nature," he wrote. “Coercion, totalitarianism, and brutality are inseparable components of the US creed and doctrine," he wrote in a separate post. Khamenei said the US should know that the Iranian nation and the “resistance front" had “unforgettable lessons" for it, Reuters reported. Iran Suspends Ceasefire MoU As Fighting Intensifies Earlier in the day, Iran announced suspension of its commitments under the Islamabad MoU, accusing the United States of violating the agreement first. Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi said Tehran had decided to halt the implementation of its obligations after Washington allegedly failed to honour its commitments under the pact. “The US has violated and suspended all its commitments within the framework of the Islamabad MOU," Gharibabadi said in a statement carried by the Fars news agency.
