Activist Sonam Wangchuk's doctor, Dr Nitin Dighe, has questioned the government hospital's claim that Wangchuk is suffering from potassium deficiency. Speaking to the media in Delhi, Dr Dighe said blood tests conducted by his team showed normal potassium levels and alleged that neither he nor Wangchuk's advocates had been allowed to meet the activist.
