Breaking: Bombay HC Cancels Shiv Sena Goon Corporator Ramesh Mhatre's Bail In Doctor Assault Case
The Bombay High Court has cancelled the bail granted to a Shiv Sena corporator and his aides in a case involving the assault of doctors
The Bombay High Court has cancelled the bail granted to a Shiv Sena corporator and his aides in a case involving the assault of doctors and nurses at Shastri Nagar Hospital in Dombivli. Taking suo motu cognisance of the matter, the High Court ordered the corporator to surrender by 5:00 PM tomorrow.
The court noted that the corporator has eighteen past criminal cases, including serious offences, which should have been considered before granting bail. The police have been directed to attach the corporator's assets if he fails to surrender. Additionally, the High Court urged the doctors' association to cancel their planned strike in light of this order.
