(AFP) Munich airport briefly halted all flight operations on Saturday after a suspected drone sighting prompted a security alert, police and airport authorities told AFP.
The disruption began shortly after 9:00 am, when two pilots reported a suspicious incident involving what appeared to be drones near the airport. In response, German air traffic control and security authorities agreed to close the runways as a precaution. Flights bound for Munich are currently holding or diverting to alternate airfields.
