Investigation by ATS has revealed several shocking details about the Jaish terror module that was arrested from Gujarat's Vadodara like they has taken training in Jammu and Kashmir to handle toxic gas and test bombs. (Image source: X/ @GujaratPolice) The Gujarat Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) has uncovered a serious terror plot after arresting suspected Jaish-e-Mohammed operatives. The accused were produced before a court in Mehsana district. Investigators revealed that two of the suspects had travelled to Jammu and Kashmir. There, they received specialised training in handling AK-47 rifles and other combat techniques. Intense Training Beyond Weapons The training went beyond firearms. The suspects were also taught how to create carbon monoxide gas and use it as a weapon against civilians.
According to ATS sources, quoted in a NDTV report, the group operated under an overseas handler named Abdullah. He reportedly guided the module and oversaw its activities remotely. The accused were trained in around 40 different terror methods. These included bomb-making and the preparation of toxic substances using everyday materials. Officials said the suspects even learned how to ferment organic materials underground to generate harmful gases. This points to a planned use of unconventional attack methods. To expand their network, some members travelled to Vadodara. They tried to establish links with a Kashmiri youth to strengthen local coordination. Multiple Locations For Bomb Tests The investigation shows that the group had moved beyond planning. They had already begun testing their methods on the ground. ATS confirmed that bomb blast trials were conducted at eight different locations. These tests were aimed at checking the effectiveness of their devices. After the explosions, the suspects disposed of key materials. Items like sodium phosphate and wires were thrown into public dustbins.
Forensic teams have now recovered these materials. They are being analysed to gather more evidence about the explosives used. The module was funded with around Rs 3 lakh by their handler. The money was used to purchase a car and a motorcycle for surveillance activities. The suspects were actively scouting for targets in Ahmedabad. A garden-style hotel was identified as a possible location for an attack. During raids, officials also seized 43 jihadi books and digital manuals. These were allegedly used by the main conspirator, Amin Shera. Investigators believe he was trying to radicalise local youth. This was reportedly happening at a madrasa in Khadiasan, raising further concerns about recruitment efforts.
