Rapid Read CBI To Take Samarth, Giribala To Crime Scene. (X) The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is set to conduct a reconstruction of events in the Twisha Sharma mystery death case as part of its ongoing probe. According to sources, the agency will take Twisha’s husband, Samarth Singh, and mother-in-law, Giribala Singh, to their residence to recreate the circumstances under which her body was brought down after she was found hanging. Sources told NTDV that the reconstruction will be carried out at the location where Twisha was discovered hanging on the night of May 12.

Investigators will seek to verify the account provided by Samarth Singh, who has told interrogators that he brought Twisha down from the noose, while Giribala Singh untied the knot around her neck. As part of the exercise, the CBI will recreate the sequence of events at the house. Investigators will use an 80-kg dummy to assess the accused’s version of how the body was lowered. Samarth will be asked to demonstrate how he removed Twisha from the hanging position, while Giribala will be asked to show how she untied the knot using the dummy. The agency will also test the strength of the ligature, reportedly a belt, to determine the amount of weight it could withstand. Twisha Sharma had allegedly used a belt to hang herself. Giribala Singh was arrested by the CBI on Thursday, a day after the Madhya Pradesh High Court cancelled her anticipatory bail and overturned the relief granted by a Bhopal sessions court on May 15.

Both Giribala and Samarth have been remanded to CBI custody until June 2. Sources said investigators are likely to question the two separately before confronting them together to cross-check their statements. According to details accessed by NDTV, Giribala Singh was questioned about several aspects of the case, including Twisha Sharma’s pregnancy and injuries allegedly found on her body. Twisha Sharma was allegedly found hanging at her in-laws’ residence in Bhopal’s Katara Hills area. Her family subsequently accused her husband and in-laws of dowry harassment and demanded a thorough investigation. Earlier, the CBI had taken Samarth Singh to the Katara Hills residence and conducted an extensive forensic examination with assistance from a specialised team from Delhi equipped with advanced investigative tools. The agency spent several hours at the residence carrying out photography, videography and evidence collection while questioning Samarth about the events of the night of May 12.
