Activist Sonam Wangchuk's wife, Gitanjali J. Angmo, has said the Delhi High Court never directed that her husband be hospitalised, only that his health be regularly monitored. She questioned the medical reports cited by authorities, said the family would seek independent tests before any treatment, and confirmed that Wangchuk's hunger strike continues with only salted water.
Angmo added that while he is physically weak, he remains alert and said the family does not want further government intervention in his medical care.
