Iran’s Foreign Ministry announced that the country no longer considered itself obligated to fulfill parts of the peace deal, accusing the US of violating the truce, especially with the reimposition of a naval blockade of the Iranian ports. Asserting control over the Strait of Hormuz, Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi said Tehran would exercise “full sovereignty over the Strait of Hormuz, no matter the costs," including Oman’s half, the Tasnim news agency reported.
