The US and Iran intensified their attacks beyond military targets during a sixth straight day of hostilities, increasing fears of a return to full war with no agreement reached over the Strait of Hormuz. The US hit southern Iran overnight, striking six road bridges, according to Iranian state media. There were separate reports of attacks on the southern town of Bushehr, which houses the country’s only nuclear power plant, and the western province of Lorestan.
The tower in Chabahar port was destroyed on Friday, the US Central Command confirmed in a post on X. For more, we spoke with Ilan Goldenberg, SVP & Chief Policy Officer at J Street. He says the US has no good options when it comes to ending the war with Iran.
