The BJP members of the all-party delegations, which took part in the global outreach exercise for Operation Sindoor, on Monday met party president JP Nadda, where they were told that they had rendered a “great service to the nation".

For many of the MPs, it was the first time representing India on an international platform and they shared their experiences during individual briefings before Nadda.

“You have rendered a great service to the nation. We are extremely proud of your contribution," Nadda told the MPs.

The BJP MPs provided valuable strategic feedback on how the global perception of India is evolving. “Prime Minister Narendra Modi has transformed how the world views India," one of the members said. Another added: “There is growing recognition of India’s uncompromising stance on terrorism. Operation Sindoor has received widespread support for holding perpetrators of terror accountable."

Several MPs discussed promoting the India growth story during their foreign tour. They reported that many smaller countries showed keen interest in expanding bilateral ties in areas like trade, technology, culture, and cinema.

“There is strong demand for deeper engagement with India — both in terms of investments and soft power exchanges," one MP said.

They highlighted the importance of institutionalising such initiatives and suggested more regular inter-parliamentary exchanges and friendship delegations in future. Nadda assured them that these suggestions were being considered at the highest levels.

“Your voice has reached — and will continue to reach — where it matters most," he said.

Following the meeting, BJP Rajya Sabha MP from West Bengal, Samik Bhattacharya told reporters: “All BJP MPs who were part of this all-party initiative shared insights about their international interactions. Everyone agreed that such political diplomacy must continue. The party president told us he would discuss this with the Prime Minister."

Just days after returning from their assignments, the delegation members had also met Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his official residence. They had discussed their experiences in detail and reiterated their request for more such diplomatic missions and parliamentary outreach opportunities.

Under Operation Sindoor, seven parliamentary delegations were dispatched to various countries to explain India’s counter-terror efforts and highlight the rationale behind the military action. The initiative garnered wide international support — from US Vice President JD Vance engaging with an Indian delegation to the Liberian Parliament observing silence in solidarity with the terror victims. The mission saw participation from MPs across party lines, united in exposing Pakistan’s alleged role in fostering cross-border terrorism.
