Singh Taken To Bhopal In Early Hours Police officials said Singh was taken to the Katara Hills police station around 2 am after his arrest outside the Jabalpur court premises. He was transported to Bhopal in a convoy accompanied by his lawyer and members of the Special Investigation Team (SIT) led by Misrod ACP Rajnish Kashyap. Further, advocate Ankur Pandey, counsel for the victim’s family, confirmed the court has granted police seven days’ custody of the prime accused. He added that proceedings related to Singh’s passport were also held, and the accused’s lawyer submitted the passport before the court. “The police got 7 days’ custody of accused (Samarth Singh). There were proceedings regarding the passport. His lawyer submitted the accused’s passport today. There are three other pending applications which we had filed for preservation, the date for which is 29th…" the advocate said.
