The swearing-in ceremony for the Tamil Nadu cabinet expansion took place at Lok Bhavan, with a total of 33 MLAs taking the oath of office.
Chief Minister Vijay was present as 21 MLAs from the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), including C Vijayalakshmi, and two MLAs from the Congress party, Viswanathan and Rajesh Kumar, were accommodated in the new cabinet.
Two ministerial berths remain vacant, reserved for the Viduthalai Siruthai Katchi (VCK) and the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML).
Despite earlier speculations, the breakaway faction of the AIADMK was not included in the cabinet.
