Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit, Kalady, has decided to step up discipline on the campus and its hostels.
From July 1 onwards, only those with valid identity cards will be permitted to enter the campus. Vehicles entering the campus must display stickers bearing the varsity’s emblem. Entry will not be allowed to vehicles without these stickers from July 1, according to an order issued by the university based on the recommendations of a sub-committee of the Syndicate.
Vehicles parked on the campus and hostel premises must affix the stickers within 15 days. Students will not be allowed to remain in classrooms after 5 p.m. Outsiders entering the campus must write their name, contact number, and purpose of visit in the register kept at the main gate. They are required to leave the campus before 5 p.m. The names of those who fail to record their exit in the register will be handed over to the Kalady police.
Entry to the hostels will be denied to those who have not secured admission to stay in the facilities. Hostel entry will not be permitted after 9.30 p.m. Absence from the hostels after the deadline will be reported to the parents, according to the order.
