The Krishna district police have imposed restrictions on the movement of public during night hours in Machilipatnam to prevent thefts.
In a statement issued on Monday, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Ch. Raja said that police would book cases against those who move unnecessarily after 11 p.m. in the Machilipatnam division.
“Those who come out of houses during night hours are requested to carry their vehicle documents with them. Failing this, their vehicles will be seized and cases will be registered against them,” the DSP said.
The police will also book cases against the owners of shops, hotels and other establishments, operating after 11 p.m, the DSP warned.
