In a countersuit filed this week and obtained by The New York Post, Hajdini alleged that Rana fabricated sexual harassment claims in an attempt to tarnish her reputation and gain “leverage to extort millions of dollars." The filing included several disturbing emails allegedly sent to Hajdini after the lawsuit drew public attention.

One email dated April 30 allegedly read, “I hope you get gang raped to the point you wanna kill yourself after cos you realise what a worthless we you are. You fg piece of st. KILL YOURSELF. I sincerely hope your family all die slow painful deaths from aggressive cancers." Another message sent on May 1 allegedly contained sexually explicit comments targeting her appearance and professional standing. A separate email with the subject line “Your new toy" allegedly offered to become her “slave" while ridiculing Rana. According to Hajdini’s lawyers, the lawsuit sparked widespread online harassment directed at both her and her family. The filing claimed she became the target of “countless jokes, memes, and AI-generated images and videos of a persistently vile, degrading, and sexual nature." Rana had filed the lawsuit last month, alleging that Hajdini threatened to reduce his bonus unless he agreed to become her “sex slave." He also accused her of repeated non-consensual sexual conduct and racist behaviour.

As per the report, Rana sought more than $20 million from JPMorgan before leaving the bank. Defending himself publicly, Rana told The Juggernaut that criticism of his claims reflected gender bias. “The biggest thing here is, if you call this fake, it’s just gender inequality," he said. “If the roles were reversed, what do you think would happen?" JPMorgan has denied Rana’s allegations and disputed his assertions regarding his role within the company. The bank said Rana was not involved in high-level dealmaking to the extent he had claimed and denied that his work was routinely presented to CEO Jamie Dimon. A spokesperson told The Post that JPMorgan had consistently maintained the allegations were baseless and said the bank had no plans to settle the case. The report further stated that an internal investigation conducted by JPMorgan found no evidence supporting Rana’s allegations.

HR documents reviewed by the publication allegedly showed that Hajdini had no authority over Rana’s promotion or bonus decisions. The report also claimed that Rana had previously lied about his father’s death to obtain leave from work.
