Trump’s Fresh Warning On Wednesday, U.S. President Trump claimed efforts were underway to resolve the ongoing conflict with Iran. However, he warned Washington could launch fresh strikes if negotiations failed. “We’re blowing it away. We’re blowing everything away. And we’re going to end that war very quickly", he said, claiming Tehran wants to make a deal “so badly". “This should have happened for 47 years. Somebody should have done something about it. And it’s going to happen, and it’s going to happen fast." ‘Oil Prices Will Plummet’ As the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz continues to disrupt energy supplies worldwide, Trump said the oil prices would come down soon. “You’re going to see oil prices plummet. They’re going to come down. There’s so much oil out there. They’re going to come plummeting down," he said. About The Status-Quo The ceasefire between U.S.-Israel and Iran continues to hang in balance with repeated salvos and threats from both sides, as negotiation efforts remain underway. Earlier, Tehran said it had responded to a new American proposal aimed at ending the conflict that began in late February with the joint U.S.-Israeli airstrikes. According to Iranian reports, U.S. conditions included no payment of war reparations to Tehran, the surrender of enriched uranium, and payment of less than 25 per cent of the country’s frozen assets, among others.
