An electrician died after falling nearly 30 feet while repairing a ceiling light at Swami Vivekananda Airport in Raipur on Thursday, police said.
The incident occurred at around 11 am near boarding gates 7 and 8 on the first floor of the airport terminal.
According to police and airport authorities, the victim, Kuber Chand Sahu (28), was carrying out repair work beneath a false ceiling in the Security Hold Area (SHA) when he suddenly felt dizzy and unconscious due to extreme heat.
He then fell from the height of the false ceiling while repairing the light.
