• NEW DELHI The Delhi High Court asked the Centre and the censor board on Wednesday (May 20, 2026) to consider as representation a petition raising concerns that the movie Dhurandhar: The Revenge reveals tactical and sensitive information on the country’s intelligence and defence operations.
• The court said the concern raised by the petitioner, a member of the SSB, was not without merit and although movies are made for entertainment, their impact cannot be denied.
• “This court is of the opinion that the concerns raised by the petitioner need to be considered and addressed appropriately.
• We dispose of the writ petition with a direction to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and the CBFC to consider the entire writ petition as a representation by the petitioner and take an appropriate decision on the issues raised,” the court ordered.
