Noida Woman Dies After Alleged Torture Over Dowry, Two Arrested In the Noida dowry death case, chilling details have emerged in the post-mortem report of the victim, Deepika Nagar, highlighting “bone-deep wound, bleeding in left ear, wound in waist/abdomen area, and ruptured spleen". The 24-year-old Deepika allegedly jumped from the roof of her home and died by suicide in Greater Noida after days of torture and assault over dowry demands. Deepika had married Hrithik 14 months ago in Jalpura village. Their wedding ceremony involved a dowry settlement comprising a Fortuner SUV and a sum of one crore rupees. Deepika’s post-mortem was conducted by a panel of two doctors, and the entire procedure was videographed. The report details several serious external and internal injuries. Woman’s Autopsy Reveals Brutal Injuries CNN-News18 has exclusively accessed the post-mortem report of Deepika. Here are the details from the autopsy report Key External Injuries • A swelling/contusion measuring around 12 cm × 9 cm was found on the right side of the face • A 9 cm × 6 cm injury/contusion was found on the left elbow joint • An 8 cm × 5 cm injury was found on the left forearm • A large contusion measuring around 38 cm × 14 cm was found on the right thigh • A bone-deep wound measuring around 4 cm × 1.5 cm was found on the left knee joint • A wound measuring around 1.5 cm × 1 cm was found on the lower waist/abdomen area • A circular contusion measuring around 25 cm × 22 cm was found above the right iliac crest • Circular injury marks were found around the right arm • Bleeding was observed from the left ear • Deep pressure/abrasion marks were found on the left side of the chest and abdomen Internal Examination Findings • Hematoma (blood clotting) was found in the middle and left side of the brain • The spleen was found ruptured • The left kidney appeared pale • The chambers of the heart were found empty • Internal bleeding was observed in different parts of the body The viscera samples were preserved and sent for examination. The samples were also sent for toxicology testing to check for the presence of any poisonous substances. According to the report, multiple serious external and internal injuries were found on the body. The brain hematoma and ruptured spleen indicate severe trauma. The incident took place in Jalpura village under the Ecotech-3 police station area. Officials said the continued harassment eventually pushed Deepika to take the extreme step. The woman reportedly jumped from the roof on the night of May 17, 2026. The deceased’s husband, Hrithik, and her father-in-law, Manoj, have been arrested. Speaking about the case, the police said, “According to the information received, on the night of May 17, 2026, the aforementioned woman died after jumping from the roof, having been driven to despair by dowry harassment. Upon receiving this information, the police arrived at the scene, completed the necessary inquest formalities regarding the body, and sent it for a post-mortem examination. Based on the written complaint filed by the deceased’s father, a case has been registered under relevant sections of the law."
