ACB books suspended Warangal sub-registrar in disproportionate assets case

• The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has registered a disproportionate assets case against a suspended sub-registrar in Hanamkonda after searches revealed properties, cash, bank deposits, gold and other assets worth nearly ₹1.94 crore.
• According to the ACB, the case was registered against Davuluri Anand, Sub-Registrar-II at the Sub-Registrar Office, Warangal (R.O.), Hanamkonda, who is currently under suspension.
• The ACB conducted surprise searches on Wednesday at the official’s residence and other premises linked to his relatives.
• During the searches, investigators identified two residential houses valued at ₹71.56 lakh and six open plots valued at ₹28.37 lakh.
• Officials said the market value of the properties is expected to be significantly higher than the officially recorded value.
