Iran Sent Vance Private Message Alleging Kushner, Witkoff Profited From Peace Talks: Report Published By, Last Updated: July 15, 2026, 23:52 IST Tehran also alleged the pair made around "$9 billion through market manipulation" linked to developments in the talks. (AFP file photo) Iran privately sent a message to US Vice President JD Vance accusing Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff of using “inside knowledge" from US-Iran negotiations for financial gain and leaking sensitive information, according to a report. Tehran also alleged the pair made around “$9 billion through market manipulation" linked to developments in the talks. According to Drop Site News, the message was sent through an intermediary during US-Iran negotiations in Lake Lucerne, Switzerland, in late June. Citing an anonymous senior Iranian official, the report said Tehran warned Vance that the continued involvement of Kushner and Witkoff could undermine efforts to turn the June 17 framework agreement into a lasting peace deal. Iran’s Allegations The Iranian official told Drop Site that negotiators informed Vance that Kushner and Witkoff were more interested in “exploiting insider knowledge of the negotiations" than securing a diplomatic breakthrough.
The report also claimed Iran raised concerns that Kushner had repeatedly shared information with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. According to the report, Iran had earlier submitted “written documentation" through mediators which it described as evidence that individuals close to US President Donald Trump were using developments in the conflict and negotiations to manipulate financial markets. The official further claimed that by June, Iran had estimated the alleged profits from such market activity at around $9 billion. Tehran reportedly requested in writing that $4.5 billion be allocated to Iran, saying the matter had been conveyed to US officials through intermediaries. “We have conveyed through intermediaries that $4.5 billion of this sum should also be allocated to the Iranian side," the Iranian official told the outlet. “The exchanged texts will ultimately become part of the historical record." The Trump administration strongly denied the report. A US official told Drop Site that “no such message was ever transmitted to the United States". Report Comes As Tensions Escalate The report comes as tensions between Washington and Tehran have flared again despite last month’s memorandum of understanding aimed at ending the war.
