Russia and Ukraine have reportedly agreed to a temporary ceasefire in Russian-occupied Oleshky, in Ukraine's Kherson region, beginning at 4 AM on October 27 to facilitate a humanitarian mission. The planned pause is expected to help deliver food, drinking water and medicines, clear routes of mines and support civilian evacuations. Reports indicate that Oleshky's population has fallen from around 24,000 before the war to approximately 1,700–2,000 residents.
Meanwhile, possible trilateral talks involving Russia, Ukraine and the United States could take place in Abu Dhabi or Switzerland in the coming weeks.
