UK police said the men were arrested on suspicion of preparing an act of terrorism and explosives offences.Three suspicious vehicles were being searched and counter-terrorism officers were leading the investigation, the Associated Press reported.It added that authorities have not yet said what the suspects were allegedly planning to target, and that there was no immediate indication that the case was connected to the US military presence or the war in Iran.Located about 100 miles (160 km) west of London, RAF Fairford is used by the US Air Force as a forward operating location and houses the headquarters of its 501st Combat Support Wing.
