Karnataka: Applications invited for 3,395 police constable posts

• Home Minister Priyank Kharge has said that applications have been invited for filling up 3,395 posts of police constables (civil) by the State Home Department.
• The written exams for these posts will be conducted by the Karnataka Examination Authority on an offline-OMR basis, he said in a press release issued on June 7. Of the 3,395 posts, 2,226 have been reserved for men, 755 for women, and 35 for transgenders.
• Similarly, 257 and 82 posts have been reserved for in-service men and women respectively, he added.
• The selected candidates will receive a salary between ₹37,500 and ₹76,100. Those with a minimum qualification of PU or equivalent are eligible to apply.
• While the process of filing applications will start from June 8, the last date for filing applications through the online mode is July 3.
