Addressing the gathering after hoisting the national flag during the 80th Independence Day celebrations in Yadgir, Dr. Patil paid tribute to the leaders who spearheaded the freedom movement.
”The countrymen united against the British and sacrificed their valuable lives to achieve independence. Leaders like Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru, Vallabhbhai Patel, Subhash Chandra Bose, Chandrashekhar Azad, and B.R. Ambedkar led the freedom movement with their vision, building a nation rooted in equality,” Dr. Patil said. Highlighting the State’s developmental agenda, the Minister announced that the State government, under the leadership of Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar, has outlined 45 key programmes to be implemented over the next 100 days to ensure pro-people governance.
Patil said that the Chief Minister’s vision focuses heavily on key sectors such as agriculture, healthcare, education, employment, and youth empowerment. Core priorities for the administration include improving public service delivery, launching a drive against drug abuse, attracting
industrial investments, establishing global technology centres, and boosting tourism across Karnataka. Patil also highlighted the impact of the State’s five flagship guarantee schemes alongside ongoing infrastructure projects, reaffirming the government’s commitment to driving comprehensive development across all major sectors.
