Preparations for the Independence Day flag-hoisting ceremony at the historic Golconda Fort are in full swing, with a full dress rehearsal held on Thursday ahead of the August 15 celebrations. The rehearsal followed the same sequence planned for the main event, including the arrival of Chief Minister A.
Revanth Reddy and the flag-hoisting ceremony. Police also reviewed the deployment positions, allotted places and other last-minute arrangements. ACP Tolichowki Syed Fayaz said officers across ranks were engaged in the bandobust arrangements, with around 500 to 600 personnel expected to be deployed for the Independence Day ceremony.
Personnel of the Tamil Nadu Special Police also participated in Thursday’s rehearsal. “Every year, police personnel from one neighbouring State participate in the Independence Day
arrangements. Chhattisgarh participated last year, while Karnataka was part of the arrangements the previous year,” explained the ACP.
